They admitted inventing its kinky features, or rather deliberately mistranslating them from the original gossip magazine. |
In fact, this is far from the general Japanese' behavior or sense of worth. |

oung petals deflowered in not-so-innocent age 2002,7,27
Shukan Shincho 8/1 By Ryann Connell
Picking flowers used to be a popular pastime for Japan's elementary schoolgirls during their summer vacation.
Now, the not-so-innocent little girls are more likely to be deflowered, according to Shukan Shincho (8/1), which reveals a thriving market for prepubescent poontang.
Kochi Prefectural Police announced July 14 that they had taken two sixth graders into protective custody after they were found to have sold sexual services to adult men they met through an Internet dating service.
"A mother of one of the girls opened her daughter's purse and was astonished to see how much money it contained. She asked the girl how the money got there, and headed straight to the police when she found out," a reporter for a national daily tells Shukan Shincho.
"When police questioned the girl, they discovered one of her classmates was in on the act, too. They'd been allowing adult men to ravage them for anything from 10,000 yen to 30,000 yen a shot. The girls would leave a message on the site, then contact their johns using a mobile phone. A check of the records of the girls' mobile phone use unearthed the guys who'd paid them for sex. The guys have been arrested for breaking the law banning child pornography and child prostitution."
Writer Yukinori Otani says that conditions are ripe for the spread of prepubescent professionals.
"Changes enacted in April to the law regulating adult entertainment make it obligatory for operators of sex services like those offered over the Internet that run without a shop to ensure their clients are of the correct age," he tells Shukan Shincho.
"But I doubt there's any operator checking to see if people using their services are actually over 18."
Indeed, it seems elementary schoolgirl prostitution is rife in some areas, according to the weekly.
"I really shouldn't say it too loudly, but I've had a tumble with a fifth grader in Utsunomiya," a man in his 30s who declines to be named tells Shukan Shincho.
"She told me she was a high schooler and we met at a McDonalds. She was wearing platforms shoes and flares. I thought she couldn't be much more than a junior high school student. Anyway, I took her out to a video game parlor, then to karaoke, where I let her drink a fairly weak cocktail. Then we decided to go to a hotel."
"Just as I was getting overt the shock of how quickly she had stuck her face down between my legs, she'd hopped on top and was galloping away for all she was worth. But her nipples were tiny and her boobs like little green apples. I knew she couldn't be old enough for high school, but couldn't believe a junior high school pupil could have such an amazing technique. When I asked her what year she was in at school, she turned around and told me 'fifth grade.' I was petrified. I slipped her a 5,000 yen note and got out of the hotel as quickly as I could.",
Shukan Shincho notes that there's no way to confirm what the man claims actually happened, but it adds that an Internet dating service called Pro Search is dedicated to elementary schoolgirls.
Though some messages are fairly innocent, others aren't quite so meek.
"I'm Saki. I'm a fifth-grader. I'd just love to meet an adult man who can show me lots and lots. Please e-mail me," the weekly quotes one message posted on Pro Search as saying, adding that it reeks of being written by a little girl willing to sell herself off.
Writer Otani blames the media for the proliferation of pre-teen tarts.
"Reports complain about how kids are having sex at a younger age than ever before, but the media plays its part in promoting that. Take the magazine Pastel Teen for instance. It's packed with teens' stories about their sexual experiences. God, it's even got features about how to lose your virginity," he tells Shukan Shincho.
"This magazine is supposed to be for kids at junior high school, but I've heard of third graders who're avid readers."
