They admitted inventing its kinky features, or rather deliberately mistranslating them from the original gossip magazine. |
In fact, this is far from the general Japanese' behavior or sense of worth. |

Japanese gals give new meaning to being abroad
Shukan Taishu 5/28 By Ryann Connell
"Leave home and throw away your shame," goes an old Japanese saying, and Shukan Taishu (5/28) notes that throngs of young Japanese women who headed overseas during the recent Golden Week series of holidays did just that.
"Flights to Bangkok were particularly so. Women made up about 60 percent of all passengers.
And one reason why they went there is to get a taste of sex with beautiful looking young Thai boys," a tour conductor says, adding that women will head to gay bars in Bangkok to do exactly that.
"There're these gay bars where muscular young Thai men put on shows.
But these guys aren't really gay.
They're there to look after the lady's needs for the nights.
It's become something of a hot gossip topic among Japanese women sick of playing around with hosts."
Shukan Taishu notes that Japanese women are sating their carnal urges throughout Southeast Asia and the locals find them most welcome, especially the young men who'll sell themselves for a pittance.
"We were staying at what was supposed to be a first class hotel, but within a minute of arriving we were being propositioned by touts.
One of them was a real cutie and could speak great Japanese," a woman we'll call Aki says, adding that a steamy session followed.
Hanako, as we'll have the next lady known, was delighted with the delights of Bali, where she paid a trifling sum to be made to "feel like a queen."
What women like Aki and Hanako don't realize, though, is that they're often being taken for a ride in more ways than one.
"The guys will always pick someone they know to use as a driver on day trips, or to shop for souvenirs at shops.
They get kickbacks in return.
They're doing a great job of using these women," a flight attendant well versed in what goes on in Bali says.
Shukan Taishu says it's not just Southeast Asia where Japanese women are welcomed, men the world over are looking to make fools of these girls "who'll sleep with anyone."
"People in London laugh at them, especially the university students," a Japanese tour guide residing in the British capital says.
"Even during Golden Week this year, you could see all the girls who were just drooling at the chance of doing it with a white guy."
And, considering the amorous antics of Japanese women in other parts of the world, perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise that they're also active Down Under.
"Since the end of the Sydney Olympics, brothels have popped up all over the place, so one day when I had nothing better to do, I went over to one," a trader who spent Golden Week in Australia says.
"It was just a normal house and all the girls were lined up waiting for a client.
There were a couple of Japanese there, too, so I picked one of them and we went off to a room.
We talked about why she was there.
She said she'd got sick of working as an office lady, so got a working visa and went to Australia.
She couldn't find a decent job, but didn't want to go back to Japan.
Becoming a prostitute was the easiest way for her to make money."
The trader continues: "I learned later that there's a Japanese guidebook that mentions Japanese prostitutes working in Sydney.
Japanese whores are also pretty famous among Sydneysiders."
